The
Experience

Live Music, Artisan Craft Fair, Aspen in Autumn

Spend a few days in the mountains of Red River, NM listening to great music in the midst of a unique festival experience. Aspencade is scheduled to take place during the anticipated peak of the aspen's fall color change.

Great solo artists and bands are featured across multiple venues - but will never overlap, so you don't ever have to decide which artist to watch! Throughout the festival guest artists will play alongside Mike Addington inside The Lost Love Saloon at Texas Reds. Thursday night we kick off the festival with an intimate show at the Motherlode Saloon. Live music in Brandenburg Park is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, followed by evening shows at the Motherlode Saloon. The crafts fair, featuring an impressive array of artisans from all over the Southwest, takes place Friday - Sunday in Brandenburg Park and Red River Conference Center.

Festival Info
& FAQs

What You Need to Know

If you can't find what you're looking for here, please email hello@redriverevents.org and we'll get your question answered.

Is seating available?

  • The shows on Thursday and Friday evenings at the Motherlode Saloon will be seated for performances. Saturday evening will have limited seating available as the majority of chairs will be removed for the dance floor.

  • Brandenburg Park allows for chairs and blanket seating. A large tent is provided for shade and spots underneath it are claimed quickly. Chairs can be left overnight, however, Red River Events is not responsible or available to assist with lost or stolen chairs.

Where do I pick up my tickets?

Will call will move throughout the festival, but if you've purchased a ticket we'll send a detailed schedule of will call availability about a week before the festival starts. Once specific will call times are announced, we encourage you to pick up your wristbands early to avoid waiting in long lines.

What about food?

  • In Brandenburg Park, we'll have a variety of food vendors throughout the park.

  • On Friday and Saturday, there is a break in the musical schedule in the evening so our guests can grab a bite at one of our local restaurants. Artists will be playing music at Lost Love Saloon inside Texas Reds Steakhouse next door to the Motherlode. Texas Reds does not accept reservations but does offer call-ahead seating so you can put your name on the waiting list via the phone.

Is there an age limit?

All ages are welcome at Brandenburg Park. The evening shows at Motherlode Saloon are 21 and over.

What can I bring into the park?

  • No outside beverages are allowed in the park. You may bring an empty water bottle as the conference center in the park has water fountains available.

  • Well-behaved dogs are allowed in the park and must be kept on a leash at all times. *Dogs are not allowed at Motherlode Saloon*

  • The bar at Brandenburg Park is cash only, so you should plan to hit one of the local ATMs before you head to the park. One of the entrance gates, many of the vendors, and the merch stand will be able to process credit cards.

TOWN INFO

What's with the altitude talk?

At 8750' feet above sea level - we are really up there! Just about 50% higher than Denver.

The high altitude gives us stunning views and just about perfect weather! And for many of you, a very different September than your hometowns offer.  September's average high temperatures are in the high 60s with it cooling off about 30 degrees overnight. Layers are the key to dressing successfully here.

If you're not accustomed to high elevations, it can take a few days to get used to it. You can start preparing before your trip up the mountain. Days before your incline make sure you are drinking plenty of water and continue to do so while you're here. Click here to read more about how to prepare. Also, please keep in mind that the higher up you are, the more UV exposure increases. â€‹

Getting Around

The town has some great resources available to help you figure out how to get here.

Once you're here though, it's super easy to get around! Our whole town is a mile long and with Brandenburg Park's central location, it's easy to walk nearly anywhere. We have a free town shuttle called the Red River Miner's Transit that runs 7:30am to 5:00pm. Call 575-770-5959 to arrange pick-up.

Where can I stay during the festival?

Our town offers accommodations to fit every budget and taste from camping along the river to a luxury home rental - our town has something for everyone. The town of Red River's website has some great resources and we'll be updating our site to include more information about our lodging partners!

Support Our Partners

Our local sponsors are critical to the success of our festival. Below, you'll find 2022's festival sponsors. This list is a work in progress and we'll continue to update it regularly. Click the logo to explore our partner's business.
